Our valued client is looking for a People Advisor to join their team, providing expert advice and guidance across a range of people-related issues. Acting as a point of contact for colleagues and managers, you'll play a vital role in delivering a professional and efficient HR service that aligns with our values and strategic objectives.

The Role:

Provide expert advice on all aspects of HR including recruitment, performance, conduct, absence, and employee relations.

  • Support the consistent application of People policies and ensure compliance with employment legislation and best practice.
  • Promote leadership accountability and effective performance management across the business.
  • Foster positive working relationships with recognised trade unions through formal and informal engagement.
  • Partner with managers to deliver key people initiatives, including support for learning, development, and apprenticeship programmes.
  • Contribute to the delivery of the People Strategy and wider transformation projects.
  • Advise on employee wellbeing, inclusion, and safeguarding, ensuring all staff are treated fairly and appropriately supported.
  • Ensure People Services activities reflect value for money, compliance, and risk management principles.

The Person:

  • Minimum CIPD Level 3 . Ideally Level 5
  • A confident, solutions-focused HR professional with experience advising on a range of employee matters.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to influence and support managers at all levels.
  • Knowledge of employment law, HR best practice, and the ability to apply this in a fast-paced, service-driven environment.
  • Experience of working with trade unions is desirable.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to supporting learning and development, including apprenticeship schemes.
  • Flexibility to travel between sites as required.
