Transport HGV Compliance Administrator

Liverpool | Part-Time | 12 Hours per Week

Salary: Up to £9,000 per annum DOE

Adaptable Recruitment is delighted to be working with a well-established organisation in the Liverpool area to recruit a Transport HGV Compliance Administrator.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced transport or fleet compliance professional seeking a flexible part-time role within a supportive and customer-focused environment. You will play a key role in ensuring vehicle and driver compliance standards are maintained in line with DVSA regulations, Operator Licence requirements, and industry best practice.

The Role

As Transport HGV Compliance Administrator, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining all aspects of transport compliance across the fleet, ensuring legal and regulatory requirements are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all HGVs and drivers operate in compliance with DVSA regulations, Operator Licence requirements and transport legislation.
  • Maintain fleet compliance records and support the company's FORS accreditation standards.
  • Monitor vehicle maintenance records, defect reporting, driver licence checks and tachograph compliance through TachoMaster.
  • Identify and escalate driver infringements to the HSEQ Manager.
  • Produce monthly management reports covering driver activity, OCRS performance, vehicle defects and associated costs.
  • Coordinate vehicle maintenance inspections, repairs and servicing schedules with external providers.
  • Maintain training records and training matrices, identifying training requirements where necessary.
  • Communicate key compliance updates to drivers and support the delivery of toolbox talks.
  • Ensure all fleet and transport documentation remains accurate, up to date and compliant.
  • Support internal compliance audits and assist with external transport compliance audits.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Previous experience within a Transport Compliance, Fleet Compliance or Transport Administration position.
  • Good knowledge of DVSA regulations, Operator Licence compliance and transport legislation.
  • Experience managing vehicle maintenance schedules and transport compliance documentation.
  • Knowledge of FORS standards and compliance requirements.
  • Experience using tachograph management systems such as TachoMaster.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with drivers, managers and external providers.
  • The ability to work independently and effectively manage priorities.
